Sealing Technologies, Inc. is a Maryland-based company providing Cyber Security services and cutting-edge technologies to the Federal Government. SealingTech is looking for a talented intern to help drive the development of a solution that SealingTech is creating for the Department of Defense (DoD).
As an HPC Software Engineer Intern you will be part of the Security Enhanced Information Sharing (SEIS) mission area. SEIS provides solutions that allow our government to securely share information. As part of our agile team, you will contribute to the planning and execution of the development of an HPC solution. This internship program lasts for 11 weeks and is a paid position. The candidate will work no more than 30 hours in a work week and will have access to mentorship and other developmental opportunities including professional presentations, mock interviews and resume prep.
Job duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Developing software in Python
- Writing Ansible scripts to deploy software and configurations
- Developing SELinux policy for developed software
- Customizing a RHEL installation to support unique customer requirements
- Developing documentation for software and systems that the team creates
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Experience with Python or Ansible
- Experience with Linux and comfortable on the Linux command line
- Experience with at least 1 revision control system such as Git
- Able to work on development and documentation tasks with review and assistance
- Familiar with VMWare, specifically ESXi
- Understand the basics of security and secure programming practices
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
- Experience with HPC software such as PBS Pro, Slurm, Open OnDemand
- Experience with containers
- Experience with Jupyter Notebooks
- Proficient in MS Teams, JIRA, and SharePoint
- Experience developing SELinux policy
- Experience with CrayOS
- Experience with Ceph
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Understand the Agile development process and are familiar with sprint closeout/planning meetings process and expectations
- SCRUM certified
- Security + Certification
- Experience interacting with customers

Salary Range
$15.75/hr - $27.30/hr
