Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, provides cyber security services and cutting-edge technologies to the federal government. The Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring the integrity of financial information, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making. This role involves managing the finance and accounting teams, developing financial and accounting policies, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Controller will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to align financial management with the company's objectives in delivering tailored cyber security solutions to government and industry clients.


Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
    Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements.
    Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
    Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasting.
    Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
  • Accounting and Compliance
    Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
    Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Cash Flow Management
    Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
    Develop cash flow projections and manage working capital.
  • Internal Controls and Audit
    Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets.
    Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
  • Financial Strategy and Planning
    Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth.
    Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and leadership team.
  • Team Leadership
    Manage and mentor the finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
    Oversee recruitment, development, and performance management of finance and accounting personnel.
  • Risk Management
    Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
    Ensure compliance with government contracts and financial regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 8 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, (previous controller experience preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in a leadership position.
  • Experience working within the cybersecurity, DoD and or IT sector.
  • Proven track record of managing financial operations in a complex business environment.
  • Experience with project control and government contracting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and financial analysis tools.
  • Proven ability to lead a team to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Deep knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with Unanet
  • CPA certification
  • MBA, or Master's Degree in Accounting, or related field.
  • Experience managing finances for a products based company.

This role has an internal job title of a Controller. While the advertised salary range (aligned with current national standards) may be broader, we are specifically targeting $155k to $195k for this position, set in line with internal benchmarks. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to the anticipated salary, one will have the opportunity to qualify for bonuses.
