Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Director of Growth. In this pivotal role, you will play a central part in shaping our technical strategy and growth objectives, serving both private and public sectors. Reporting directly to the Director of Growth, you will supervise the Solutions Architecture team and provide necessary support to Technical Account Managers. Moreover, as the Technical Director of Growth, you will be tasked with overseeing Sealing Technologies' customer-funded Research, Technology Development, and Engineering (RTD&E) efforts.


Technical Strategy Development:

  • Develop and Lead the Technical Approach for new growth opportunities: Take ownership of defining and evolving the technical approach for growth development initiatives, emphasizing innovation, scalability, sustainability, and extending our current capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership: Establish clear communication with senior leadership, providing insights into technical strategy alignment, risks, and opportunities, while acting as a strategic advisor.
  • Innovation and Thought Leadership: Encourage a culture of innovation, thought leadership, and ongoing research to stay at the forefront of technical trends.
  • Risk Management and Contingency Planning: Conduct risk assessments, develop contingency plans, and ensure regulatory compliance while proactively monitoring and adapting to changes.

Technical Training:

  • Curriculum Design: Collaborate on a comprehensive technical training curriculum tailored to the needs of growth development teams.
  • Knowledge Empowerment: Create a dynamic learning environment, offer hands-on training, and ensure resource accessibility for continuous improvement.
  • Measurement and Assessment: Define learning objectives, assess trainee performance, and utilize feedback for continuous enhancement.

Team Management:

  • Solutions Architect Oversight: Directly manage the Solutions Architect, define roles, foster innovation, and conduct performance assessments.
  • Support for Technical Account Managers: Provide technical support, bridge communication, and assist Technical Account Managers in addressing client needs.

Proposal Development:

  • Collaborative Proposal Creation: Lead cross-functional collaboration, amongst the Technical Teams, for comprehensive, client-focused proposals, emphasizing quality and innovation.
  • Technical Proposal Excellence: Ensure proposals convey value, leverage multimedia elements, and undergo rigorous quality assurance.
  • Client-Centric Approach: Tailor proposals to address client challenges, provide evidence of capabilities, and engage with clients proactively.
  • Continuous Improvement: Establish feedback loops, analyze outcomes, invest in training, and explore innovative tools to enhance proposal development.

Marketing Collaboration:

  • Productizing Solutions: Work closely with Marketing to translate technical capabilities into marketable solutions, aligning with market trends and client needs.
  • Effective Communication: Serve as a liaison, facilitate communication, and develop technical briefs for marketing materials.
  • Strategic Messaging: Contribute to messaging frameworks, ensure consistency across channels, and leverage case studies to position as industry experts.
  • Feedback and Optimization: Implement feedback mechanisms, analyze data, and optimize messaging for evolving customer needs.

Senior Leadership Engagement:

  • Comprehensive Briefings: Deliver holistic briefings to senior leadership, fostering dialogue and alignment with company objectives.
  • Strategic Decision Support: Act as a trusted advisor, prioritize initiatives, offer analysis, and support innovation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Promote collaboration, translate technical concepts, and encourage diverse input. Working with other Technical Directors and technical teams.
  • Performance Measurement and Reporting: Define KPIs, establish reporting cadence, and highlight success stories while seeking senior leadership feedback.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of military experience or working with the military
  • Bachelors Degree in Information Science and Technology or a related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Top Secret security clearance required.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant technical tools.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Masters Degree in a technical field
  • Proven experience supporting USCYBERCOM

**This role's title will remain the same internally as the Technical Director of Growth**. The anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
