The Budget Analyst will report to the Finance Manager and oversee dashboard creation, maintenance, and reporting. Roles & Responsibilities:

Budgeting

Assist with annual financial planning, and monthly forecasting process.
Review project and task level forecasts monthly, provide feedback and troubleshooting support to program managers.
Analyze COGS in forecast model and collaborate with the team to fix and verify the correct projections.
Interpret and present financial analysis of monthly and quarterly results versus plan and prior year.
Support creation of, required reports and ad-hoc reporting as needed by various mission areas.

Dashboard Setup, Reporting, & Maintenance

Develop and manage Unanet dashboards for interactive reporting on company and Mission Area performance and KPIs.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop, implement, communicate, deliver, and interpret KPIs as leading indicators on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Continuously analyze, evaluate and refine KPIs to align with organizational goals and objectives.
Preparation of ad hoc analysis based on a variety of data sources including sales transactions, accounting ledgers, costs of production, trade statistics, and other economic data.
Work with large-scale datasets, utilizing excel, Unanet Analytics, and similar tools for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
Analyzes processes to identify the flow of data and gaps in data; develops new ways to obtain data.
Provide quarterly and monthly reporting as required by our parent company.
Other relevant tasks are assigned by the Finance Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
4-6 years of budgeting experience; government contracting experience required.
Background working with different government contract types such as FFP, T&M, and CPFF.
Strong analytical and data analytics skills.
Familiar with multiple reporting tools including Excel and Unanet.
Strong expertise in crafting intuitive and interactive reports and dashboards using Excel, PowerBI, or a similar tool.
Ability to work in a small team with a highly collaborative manner to meet required deadlines and perform all necessary tasks.
“Hands-on” professional with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

**This role has an internal job title of Financial Analyst II or III**.

Salary Range: $64K-$80K and potential to qualify for bonuses. The anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
