Sealing Technologies, Inc. is a veteran owned business (VOB) that provides knowledge and expertise in advanced cybersecurity technologies, techniques, and trainings to the federal government, most notably, the Department of Defense. Sealing Technologies Inc is looking for dedicated interns to assist with Technology integration and production at its Enterprise Modernization Center located in Stevensville Maryland. Hands on duties include assisting with inventory, server assembly, server testing, system integration, network switch upgrades, installation of technology subcomponents, kitting, and preparing shipments.
This internship program lasts for 11 weeks and is a paid position. The candidate will work no more than 30 hours in a work week and will have access to mentorship and other developmental opportunities including professional presentations, mock interviews and resume prep.
Responsibilities
- Assist with building and delivery of completed products to customers.
- Assist with scanning all components into the inventory tracking systems.
- Use build guides to assemble subcomponents, cabling and materials into finished products per customer specification.
- Prototype testing of new products.
- Assemble servers, storage, networking devices and sub-components into finished kitted products.
- Perform upgrades on various networking and other devices.
- Assists in the creation and revisions of documentation.
- BIOS research and testing.
- Research better automation processes via scripting languages.
- Soldering and hands on electronics work.
- Test servers, devices and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Assists with prepping final products for shipment to customers.
- Assists with troubleshooting on servers, switches, cables, power supplies, etc.
Qualification
- US citizen
- Strong critical and creative thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Works well on a team
- Follows verbal and written instructions
- Currently majoring in IT or an IT related field
- Strong communication, organization and time management skills
- Dependable
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
